  • Grants to fund research, scholarly, or creative activities that relate to the mission of CEW (includes the missions of women's education, careers, leadership, growth and development, and well being)

Michigan Nursing Scholarship
(State of Michigan)

Based on enrollment:

Full-time (12+ hours): $4,000 ($2,000/term)

3/4 Time (11 hours): $3,000 ($1,500/term)

Half-time (6-10 hours): $2,000 ($1,000/term)

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident; Michigan resident
  • Enrolled in the nursing program
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Agree to gain nursing licensure and eligible direct care nursing employment, or employment teaching in a nursing program at a postsecondary institution, in Michigan within one year of completing academic program
  • First awarded to previous recipients.  If funding remains, it will be awarded in the following order:  graduate students, second career nursing students, seniors, juniors, sophomores.

Yes. To reapply, must apply for aid by the priority filing date (April 30), and meet eligibility criteria each year. New scholarship recipients must also sign a Nursing Scholarship Master Promissory Note (MPN) before the award will be paid.  The MPN will be mailed to new, qualifying recipients.
