U-M Net Price Calculator

The University of Michigan offers students and families a net price calculator tool, designed to estimate eligibility for financial aid and out-of-pocket expenses for a full-time student. Powered by the College Board, the tool estimates available grants, scholarships and federal loans and Work-Study based on current  funding and eligibility criteria.

You may create a College Board account or sign in with an already established one in order to save your information. If you would prefer, you may use the tool as a guest and no information will be saved.

Visit the College Board website to begin.

Note: Students must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-U.S. citizen with a valid Social Security number to be eligible for federal financial aid.

More information about the cost to attend the University of Michigan can be found on our Cost of Attendance page. Students and families may also be interested in viewing our Family Profiles page which has examples of financial aid for a variety of families (your situation may be different).

Net Price Calculator Requirement: All postsecondary institutions participating in Title IV federal student aid programs are required to post a net price calculator online. This calculator uses institutional data to provide estimated net price information to current and prospective students and their families based on a student’s individual circumstances. It allows students to calculate an estimated net price based on what similar students paid in a previous year.  The calculator is required for Title IV institutions enrolling full-time, first-time degree- or certificate-seeking undergraduate students.
