The Jean Fairfax Scholarship seeks to recognize students with demonstrated scholarly potential and a record of leadership who will continue the tradition of excellence at the University of Michigan. Students considered for the Fairfax Scholarship will have a history of strong academic performance and will have been recognized locally and nationally for leadership and community service efforts. A separate scholarship application is not required; consideration will be given during the admissions process. It is named for Jean Fairfax, a 1941 U-M graduate and civil rights champion who has advanced educational philanthropy at U-M and throughout the country. |
